Experience: Brad runs FGI. He has over 20 years’ experience in Marketing and Marketing Communications. Brad’s previous employment history includes Managing Director of Universal McCann South Africa, Marketing Director of BDFM Publishers & Media Director at Net#work Advertising. Achievements: M.B.A. research thesis: “The impact of the Internet on Newspaper Readership” passed with distinction. During his time as Managing Director (2005-2008), Universal McCann South Africa was rated the Top Media Agency in South Africa by Financial Mail’s AdFocus Review (2007). Past Chairman of the Advertising & Media Association of South Africa (AMASA). Top rated Media Director in South Africa by PMR Magazine (1998).
Managing Director of FGI Africa
Qualifications: BA HDE
Experience: Graeme Pitt has over 15 years’ experience in Business Consulting and Management. His expertise and experience lies in the planning and delivery of key business strategies and special projects, with a core focus on technology solutions. Graeme has led a number of consumers and retail research projects in various African markets for large multinational clients and was responsible for the establishment of the FGI field research network across Africa. His vision is to create a network of resources that will: Develop local and regional capacity in each market in terms of skills and technology capabilities. Bring quality, affordable information and insights across the social and retail landscapes in Africa using a mobile technology platform. Provide sound measurement tools to enable organisations to effectively measure the effectiveness of their media and marketing campaigns, business strategies and communication strategies. Graeme was a guest speaker at the Africa Media Leaders Forum in Tunisia in 2011 presenting case studies on “How to use Mobile Technology to Monetise Audiences” and “How to Measure the relative efficacy of the various media channels in the Path to Persuasion”.
Business Development Director
As Business Development Director at FGI, Prenash is responsible for making sure that the business development team is obtaining new business by meeting new and existing clients, obtaining accurate briefs, writing research proposals, negotiating and finalizing investments that meet client budgetary requirements and client liaising. Prenash’s core strengths lie in client negotiation and building and maintaining client relationships.
Experience: Prenash has 8 years’ experience in sales and client relationship building of which the past 6 years have been at FGI specializing in business development. Through his strategy, Prenash has aided FGI in sourcing and commissioning some of the largest research studies for the organization including the first monthly tracking study.
Research Account Manager
Qualifications: Nicole has a Master’s Degree in Research Psychology.
Experience: She completed her internship in research at the SABC Content Enterprises, where she obtained extensive experience in both qualitative and quantitative research studies and project management. Nicole has 5 years of research experience across a variety of sectors, methodologies and conducts research across quantitative and qualitative research.
Experience: Thulani started working for Nielsen back in 2005 as part of the Quality control team doing telephonic and Face to Face backchecks and as part of the AMPS field team. He was then introduced to other projects soon after, which meant doing full-on face to face interviews. He is proficient in a multitude of types of surveys e.g. Group discussions and methods such as CAPI and CATI. After getting his SAMRA Accreditation in 2007 he then Free-lanced for other companies such as TNS, R.I and African Response, He also frequently took out clients to field so they can experience how fieldwork is done. He then became part of the National Income Dynamics Study Q.C team in 2010 and subsequently went on to be Team Leader in the East and Western Cape. He was promoted to Technical Support soon thereafter.
